Precautions
1.Please read this manual carefully before the experiment.
2.The processing of clinical samples needs to be performed in a biological safety experiment.
3.Place the tube vertically while putting the swab into it. The swab should not be rubbed into the bottle mouth, so as to avoid the liquid infiltration and pollution.
4.Dispose of the used swab rod as a contaminant.
5.No antibiotic was used within 3 months before sampling (if any, please indicate the time and type of antibiotic).
6. Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew gum within half an hour before sampling.
7. Clean the mouth by drinking water within half an hour before sampling.
8. This disposable specimen collector is only suitable for acidic or neutral environments extractionreagents and is not suitable for detection through the direct lysis and amplification methods (one-step method).
9.Avoid contact with the skin or mucous membrane. If contact occurs, immediately flush with water.

Test Procedure
1.Sampling(Follow medical guide or these steps)
A.Throat swab:
1) Clean hands thoroughly with 75% alcohol;
2) Take out ofthe sterile the swaband the specimen container containing preservation solution, and label the container with barcode;
3) Head up slightly, open the mouth,say "ah" for raiseing the uvula,and exposing the posterior plaryngeal wall as much as possible;
4) Use the front end of the swab wipe up and down,left and right of the exposed posterior pharyneal wall three to five times;
B.Nasopharyngeal swab:
1) Clean hands thoroughly with 75% alcohol;
2) Take out of the sterile the swab and the specimen container containing specimen preservation solution,and label the container with barcode;
3) Remove any mucous from the patient's nose, with a tissue or cotton tipped swab prior to collecting the nasopharyngea swab;
4) Measure the distance from the corner of the nose to the front of the ear and insert theshaft ONLY half this length. In adults, this distance is usually about 4 cm, (finest thickness of this swab shaft). In children this distance is less;
5) Tilt head back slightly (about70°) to straighten the passage from the front of the nose to the nasopharynx to make insertion of the swabeasier;
6) Gently insert the swab along the medial part of the septum, along the baseof the nose, until it reaches the posterior nares, gentle rotation of the swab may be helpful;
7) Rotate the swab several times to dislodge the columnar epithelial cells, andthen remove the swab.
2.After sampling the throat swab or nasopharyngeal swab, insert it vertically into the tube containing preservation solution;
3.Swab handing
Option A:Swab elution
1) Stir the swab clockwise and counterclockwise each three times;
2) Soak the used swab with 75% alcohol thoroughly. Discard it into a medical waste bag and dispose according to medical waste regulations;
3) Close the screw cap and tighten the screw cap.
OptionB:Swab cutting
1) Lift the swab to keep the sampling head 0.5cm away from the bottom of the tube;
2) Cut or break the swab gently so that the swab completely falls into the tube,and cover the screw cap;
3) Soak the used swab rod with 75% alcohol thoroughly. Discard it into a medical waste bag and dispose according to medical wasteregulations;
4) Tighten the screw cap and turn it upside down three times to completely wet the swab.
3.Keep the tube in a sealed bag and transport it to the testing institution at room temperature and the specimen immersed in the preservation solutions can be stored at 2~8 ° C for 7 days or 30 days at -20±5° C or -70±10 ° C.

Limitations of Procedure
This product is suitable for swab collection of secretions,but manual operation affects result.Samples treated with this collector can only be used for nucleic acid extraction and detection, not for antigen detection.
